Studiolo keeps the links, images and notes you save, and the spaces you share them in. This page says what that involves. In short: we store what you save so you can find it again, we don't sell it or show you ads, and we don't track you across other apps or sites.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and a password, which our sign-in provider stores only as a secure hash.
- What you save: each link's address, title, description, picture and page text, any notes you write, and the tags on them. Text you share that isn't a link is saved as a note.
- Your spaces: which spaces and workspaces you belong to, and the email addresses of people you invite.
The browser extension
The Studiolo extension for Chrome and Safari reads a page only when you save it, by clicking its button or choosing one of its Save to Studiolo items when you right-click. It then sends us that page's address, title, description, picture and up to 100,000 characters of its visible text, so a page behind a login can still be saved and tagged. It doesn't read pages you don't save or keep a record of your browsing. It stores your sign-in on your device and sends it only to Studiolo and our sign-in provider.
If you turn on Kindle sync, in Settings or in the Chrome extension, the extension asks for access to your Amazon Kindle notebook (read.amazon.com or your country's version) and nothing else. Every few hours it reads your notebook there, using your own Amazon sign-in in your browser, and sends us each book's title, author, cover, Amazon id and the day you last opened it, with your highlights, notes and their locations. We never see your Amazon password or sign in to Amazon ourselves. Turning sync off gives that access back; the books already in Studiolo stay until you delete them.
Connecting X
If you connect your X account in Settings, X asks you to let Studiolo read posts, your profile and your bookmarks, and stay connected. Studiolo can't post, follow anyone or read your messages. It reads your bookmarks to add them to your Studiolo, and keeps your X username and the sign-in X gives it, encrypted. If you choose to bring in only new bookmarks, it also keeps the ids of your newest bookmarks at the time, to know to leave them out. Disconnecting in Settings, or removing Studiolo in X's settings, stops it. Bookmarks already brought in stay until you delete them.
How we use it
- To show you, and the people you share a space with, what's been saved there.
- To fill in a link's title, description and picture, our server visits the link you saved.
- To suggest tags, we send a saved item's address, title, description and up to 8,000 characters of its text to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes it to return tags and doesn't use it to train its models.
- To email an invitation when you invite someone to a space.
We don't use analytics or advertising tools, and we don't sell or rent your information.
Who else handles it
These services run parts of Studiolo for us and only use your data to do that:
- Supabase: the database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the web app.
- Anthropic: suggesting tags.
- Resend: sending invitation emails.
Sharing
What you save in your own Studiolo is visible only to you. What you save in a shared space is visible to that space's members.
Keeping and deleting
We keep what you save until you delete it. Deleted items go to your trash first, where you can restore or remove them. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@blueskylabs.io from the address you signed up with.
Children
Studiolo isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. Questions go to support@blueskylabs.io.
